A “Multi-Millionaire Seeking Spouses in Ten Cities Show” debuted in Guangzhou on 20th. According to the organizer, 320 beauties emerged from 2,800 applicants, and engaged in fierce competition in the Garden Hotel. One self-proclaimed billionaire even offered a whopping astronomical price in his search for a lovely wife, even making the bold suggestion that the matchmaker would get 50,000 yuan in cash after he and the lady have their first date.

At this low profile match-making event, this reporter noticed a mysterious billionaire. He came to Guangzhou this April and asked this singles club to find a suitable girlfriend for him, paying 5 million yuan to have the club find for him in 10 cities nationwide his other half. His terms are as follows: age: 20-26 years old; height: 162-170cm; weight: within 50kg; education: above junior college education; have a simple family condition, good-looking, good figure, body pure (no sexual experience).
And yet his background information shows that he is: divorced, not yet 50 years old, billionaire, well-known Chinese entrepreneur, enjoys golf, body’s healthy and strong.

With regards to the “body pure” requirement, most applicants say they can understand and accept it. Only one expressed that, “If an examinations is needed, that would be a little insulting.” But there was also another applicant who frankly said, it’s not difficult to conduct maidenhead/hymen reconstruction at medical institutions, so this sort of requirement isn’t very meaningful. Photo is of the female applicants.

For the sake of this billionaire, the organizer has set up a special “Talent Scout Award”, which claims: if you know a girl who meets the standards, please recommend her to “Chinese Entrepreneurs Single Club”, if the recommended girl and the mister have their first date, you will get 50,000 yuan in cash or gifts of the same value, and if the girl successfully begins a relationship with the mister, you will get a commercial residential apartment worth 3 million yuan from the mister.

It’s the modern times and in urban areas we are just a phone call away from the nearest emergency medical service.
However in the remote regions of the desert-scape Flying Doctors are not always available. How do you get the necessary First Aid? No worries, design student Fresch has it all figured out with his emergency dromedary concept that sees the trusty old camel of the chieftain coming to aid with a doc in tow!

This camel-trotting concept involves a “baja” and a “seji”. The baja is a lightweight contraption that can seat the respected doctor, and the seji is a framework structure that is essentially meant for the sick person but can also double up as an equipment carrier. Using a plug-in system, the necessary transformation from a box carrier to a stretcher happens in a jiffy.

A little bit of use of technology is essential however, you will need to call the doc on his phone to summon him; the camel-baja outfit along with the inbuilt GPS system then track you and hurry on to administer the First Aid.

There are a handful of countries where you'd expect most any supercar to come from. Italy, Germany, England... and even these United States have produced their fare share, and there've been a handful from Japan. Even France and Sweden have produced some notables. But Poland?

Hardly the first country that would come to mind, but the folks behind Arrinera Automotive aim to fix that. We first reported last year on the supercar the Polish outfit has been developing, and now they've released a whole slew of details – including specifications and pricing.

The as-yet unnamed vehicle (aside from the Arrinera marque, anyway) is powered by a 6.2-liter V8 that's been supercharged up to 650 metric horsepower (641 by our measures) and 605 pound-feet of torque, driving through a Graziano gearbox for a 3.2-second sprint to 100 kilometers per hour (62 miles per hour) and a claimed 340 km/h (211 mph) top end.

Lee Noble – the talented engineer behind supercars marketed under the Ultima, Ascari, Rossion, Fenix and Noble names – has set up the suspension, with 380-millimeter brakes providing the stopping power up front and 350-millimeter discs in the back. The 1300-kilogram (2866-pound) package is made up of a high-strength steel frame with bodywork that's carbon-intensive and similar in appearance to a Lamborghini, but that's no bad thing.

Production is slated to begin later this year, with pricing starting at £100,000 (about $160,000 at current exchange rates).

BIG contributes to towering design in Seoul

Situated at the south-east edge of the Yongsan master plan designed by Studio Libeskind for the Korean development group Dreamhub, Bjarke Ingels Group's (BIG) Cross # Towers will contribute to the developing skyline of Seoul and become a recognisable marker of the new cultural and commercial centre of the city. BIG was selected to submit a design proposal for Yongsan International Business District among 19 international offices, including SOM, Dominique Perrault, REX and MVRDV.

The 21,000 sq m site is positioned next to the existing urban fabric in the future development zones of the Yongsan master plan. BIG's design includes two elegant towers with a height of 214m and 204m. To meet the height requirements of the site, the exceeding building mass is transformed into an upper and lower horizontal bar, which bridge the two towers at 140m and 70 m height. The two towers are additionally connected through the arrival bar at the ground level - and a courtyard below ground.
"The Cross # Towers constitute a three-dimensional urban community of interlocking horizontal and vertical towers. Three public bridges connect two slender towers at different levels - underground, at the street and in the sky. Catering to the demands and desires of different residents, age groups and cultures the bridges are landscaped and equipped for a variety of activities traditionally restricted to the ground. The resultant volume forms a distinct figure on the new skyline of Seoul - a '#' that serves as a gateway to the new Yongsan Business District signalling a radical departure from the crude repetition of disconnected towers towards a new urban community that populates the three-dimensional space of the city." Bjarke Ingels, Founding Partner, BIG.

Both the upper and lower bridge introduce rooftop sky gardens accessible to residents, allowing for outdoor activities, while a courtyard at the heart of the development is an integral part of the overall architectural design. Dramatic views towards the neighbouring towers and visual connections across the courtyard from the retail zone create an exciting space for the residents and visitors. The outdoor landscape is envisioned to draw from the charm of traditional courtyards combined with the modernity of the project. Pedestrians at the arrival deck which connects the towers at ground level can enjoy impressive views to the bridges above and to the submerged courtyard below.
The development will offer over 600 high-end residences and amenities, including a library, gallery space and a kindergarten. BIG's design ensures that the tower apartments have optimal conditions towards sun and views.
The bar units are given value through their spectacular views and direct access to the roofscapes, activating the outdoor realm. The exterior facades are developed to correspond to the different orientations and solar conditions, creating a diverse facade which varies from the viewer's vantage point and the position of the sun.

Long road trips can be a pain, literally, since bathrooms are usually very hard to find in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately (or unfortunately), a Chinese company has developed a car seat that comes with a built-in toilet / urinal. However, we're not quite sure where the waste gets stored since there appears to be some kind of filtration system in place as well.
